In the rice industry, steam is utilised for two major purposes: one is to create electricity and the other is to process the husk and produce rice.
The rice industry is also a highly steam-intensive sector, requiring medium and low pressure steam in paddy dryers for parboiling and drying the paddy.
As a result, whenever steam is utilised, a process PRDS/PRV is included, which throttles surplus pressure and flow.
The Turbotech ECT is used in PRVs to create incidental power without wasting the enthalpy of the throttled and without interfering with the process.
